The 3 Maui Restaurants You Can't Miss On Your Trip

Prior to moving to Maui in August, I had visited this gorgeous island - with my family & to visit Gabe - ten times. As a woman who can't swim, my mom comes here for the fine dining over the beach. This, combined with my foodie boyfriend and undying love for the Food Network, I've eaten some unforgettable bites (to know me is to love... my love of food). While you're on island, my fingers are crossed you can enjoy one of my favorite Maui restaurants as well!

The accolades are as long as the food is delicious at Lahaina Grill...

.. just to name a couple. Nestled in the heart of Lahaina Town, this place personifies (restaurantifies?) what it means to come for the food & come back for the service. The interior is upscale with white tablecloths & with the warmest service you'll find on Maui. 

What to order /

  1. Wagyu Beef Ravioli

  2. Bufala Tomato Salad

  3. Slow Braised Boneless Short Rib

  4. Triple Berry Pie - I'm a ride or die chocolate dessert kinda gal, but you cannot miss this. Perfectly sweet, delicate crust & accompanied with vanilla ice cream. #BAE

Hot Tip / 

Too late to book a table? Try your luck going after 8p and dining at the bar. The service at the bar is second to none! 

 

Neighborhood / Lahaina

Tucked away in an unassuming industrial area in Lahaina (and a block from Gabe's office) is the incredible Star Noodle. At this point, this place has been quite the local celebrity. That said, don't write this off as its 15-minutes of fame. 

I have yet to experienced an 'okay' dish here.

What to order /

  1. Filipino Bacon & Eggs (get an extra poached egg on top and thank me later)

  2. Vietnamese Crepe

  3. Steamed Pork Buns (pictured)

  4. Lahaina Fried Soup

  5. Malasadas

The place that has it all has a wait. Try your best to make reservations at least a couple weeks in advance or do what the locals do & tailgate during the hour+ long wait (that might just be us?).

 

 

 

 

 

 

Neighborhood / Kapalua

Drive further North to pull into the fabulous Merriman's Kapalua. Bells & whistles in the form of 180° of incredible ocean views directly from your seat at dinner.

What to order /

  1. House-Made Cavatelli Pasta

  2. Warm Goat Cheese & Arugula Salad

  3. Lamb From Kahua Ranch

  4. Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi Mahi

  5. Pineapple Bread Pudding with Toasted Macadamia Nuts
